Mosquito Prevention in Your Own Back Yard

  • Drain: mosquitoes need water to breed, so make sure you drain any collecting water in your home or yard, such as gutters buckets, pool covers, overturned garbage lids, etc . Replace water in Birdbaths.
  • Avoid mosquito activity: an hour before and after sunset is when mosquitoes are most active.
  • Dress in long tops and bottoms. Especially during hours of activity.
  • Use Least Toxic Repellents: Such as essential oils, citronella and Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus. Avoid using products with DEET.
